Evi Edna Ogholi, born on July 6, 1966, is a renowned Nigerian reggae musician celebrated for her song “Happy Birthday”.
Born in Isoko, Delta State, Ogholi was raised in the household of Reverend R. O. Ogholirly.
Ogholi’s musical journey began in 1987 with her debut album “My Kind of Music” produced by Emma Ogosi.
In 2020, she was honored as the Brand Ambassador of Hope and Peace for the Aid People Change Nigeria Charity.
Majek Fashek dubbed her the ‘Queen of Nigeria reggae’, a title she earned globally.
Ogholi served as a Pepsi ambassador in 1990, featuring in a commercial alongside Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Charly Boy, and Femi Kuti.
In 2020, rumors of her death circulated, dispelled when she announced her return to music.
In 2020, she signed a five-year record deal with Enorecords, releasing an EP titled “Peace and Love”.
