Born on December 24, 1974, Eedris hails from Kano, Nigeria.  He rose to prominence as the lead rapper of the iconic hip hop group, The Remedies.  His electrifying stage presence and socially conscious lyrics cemented his status as one of the most influential rappers in Nigerian history.

Despite facing hardships early in life, Eedris’ passion for music propelled him forward.  Albums like “Pass,” “Jaga Jaga,” and “Letter to Mr. President” became cornerstones of Nigerian music, showcasing his powerful voice and critical perspective.

Eedris’ influence extended beyond music.  He proudly represented Nigeria on the world stage, carrying the Olympic torch in 2000.
