Meet Ugbekile David Osemeke, popularly known as Boy Spyce, the rising star in Nigeria’s music scene.

Early Life

Born in Isolo, Lagos State, Boy Spyce grew up in Jakande Estate, Lagos, Nigeria, and is from Edo State. He attended Model College in Kankon for his secondary education and is the youngest of seven siblings.

A Journey Begins: Career Milestones

Boy Spyce embarked on his music journey in 2019 by sharing song covers on social media. In 2021, his cover of Wizkid’s “Essence” caught the attention of Don Jazzy from Mavin Records. This led to a recording contract and his debut EP, “Boy Spyce,” released in 2022.

Making Waves: Musical Success

Since then, he has been making waves in the Nigerian music scene. His EP quickly soared to number 1 on Nigeria’s Apple Music charts. ? Reviewing the EP, Emmanuel Esomnofu from The Native called it “a collage of vibrant sounds and tradition.”

Collaborations and Hits

Boy Spyce’s talent is undeniable. He was featured on Mavin’s hit song “Overdose” alongside Crayon and Ayra Starr. His track “Folake” and “Pepe” received widespread acclaim, peaking at number 5 and number 23 respectively on TurnTable Nigeria charts.
