MohBad was one of the rising stars of the Afrobeats scene, known for his catchy songs and energetic performances. He was signed to Marlian Records, a label founded by popular Nigerian musician Naira Marley, who was his mentor and friend. MohBad collaborated with Naira Marley on several hit tracks, such as “Koma Jensun”, “Ponmo Sweet” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)”.

He had a loyal fan base, who called themselves “Imole Nation”, after his nickname “Imole”, which means “light” in Yoruba.

MohBad’s death has shocked and saddened many fans and fellow artists, who have taken to social media to pay tribute to him and express their condolences. I love you so much.” Other Nigerian celebrities, such as Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Olamide, also posted messages of sympathy and appreciation for MohBad’s music and legacy.

MohBad was supposed to perform in the United Kingdom in November 2023, as part of his UK tour. He had also announced that he was working on his debut album, which was expected to be released soon. His fans were eagerly awaiting his new projects and hoping to see him live on stage.
