Born Akinre Terry on May 27, 1999, in Lagos, Nigeria, Terri developed a love for music at an early age. He began recording songs as a teenager under the stage name “Stoned Teezy” before catching the attention of industry heavyweights.

Signing with Starboy Entertainment

In December 2017, Terri gained recognition when he recorded a cover of DJ Jimmy Jatt and Wizkid’s song “Oshe.” The cover went viral and caught the attention of Wizkid, who later signed him to Starboy Entertainment in February 2018. Shortly after, he featured on the chart-topping song “Soco”, alongside Wizkid, Spotless, and Ceeza Milli. The song became a massive hit, solidifying his place in the industry.

Music Career and Breakthrough

Following his breakout moment on “Soco,” Terri released his debut single “Bia” in 2018. The song showcased his Afro-fusion sound, blending catchy melodies with infectious beats. Over the years, he has continued to release hit songs such as:

• “Non-Stop”

In May 2020, he released his debut EP, “Afro Series,” a seven-track project that further established his reputation as a versatile artist. The EP received positive reviews and featured production from top Nigerian producers like Sarz, Killertunes, and Blaise Beatz.

Despite his strong start under Wizkid’s label, Terri later parted ways with Starboy Entertainment to pursue his career independently. Since then, he has focused on creating unique music and expanding his fan base while maintaining his signature Afrobeat sound.
