Korede Bello, born on February 29, 1996, in Lagos State, Nigeria, is a talented singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after signing with Mavin Records in 2014. He began his musical journey as a child, performing under the name “African Prince” before transitioning to his current stage name, Korede Bello, which means “Bring Fortune.”
From a young age, Korede displayed immense musical talent, writing his first song while still in primary school. His passion for music continued through his education, eventually leading to his breakout into the Nigerian music industry.
Korede Bello’s career took off when he released the hit single “Godwin” in 2015. This song, a perfect fusion of gospel and pop, became a national anthem, topping music charts across Nigeria and resonating with fans across the country. In 2016, his track “Do Like That” gained international recognition, going gold in Canada and receiving a Gold Certification Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Bello’s debut album, Belloved, dropped in 2017 to widespread acclaim, solidifying his place in the music industry. Other popular hits like “Romantic” featuring Tiwa Savage and the viral track “Mungo Park” further showcased his ability to deliver catchy and heartfelt songs.
Beyond music, Korede Bello is dedicated to humanitarian causes. He has participated in the Project Pink Blue Walk for Cancer Awareness and is a strong advocate for mental health. His mission is to end mental health stigma, particularly among young people. His humanitarian efforts have earned him widespread respect and admiration.
Korede Bello’s impact extends beyond music and humanitarian work. In 2015, he became the first Youth Ambassador for the Nigerian Police Force, and in 2018, he was decorated as an Honorary Superintendent of Police for his positive influence and support for the Nigerian youth.
In recent years, Korede has continued to release new music. In 2022, under the Caspertainment Agency, he dropped his single “Available”, and in 2023, he collaborated with Mr. Eazi on the hit track “Jejely”. Fans can look forward to more amazing music from Korede with his upcoming album Koreday, set to release in 2024.
